Come to Tucson Meet Yourself
Tucson Meet Yourself is three days each October in downtown Tucson celebrating the folk, traditional, and heritage-based cultures of our region and beyond.
With 500+ artists across music, dance, foodways, and folk arts representing 65+ cultural communities, TMY is one of the most genuinely diverse public events in the Southwest. It has been a beloved part of Tucson life for more than 50 years. There is no admission charge, ever.
Attend Community Events & Programs
Throughout the year, SFA hosts and co-presents public events — community gatherings, pop-up markets, panels, workshops, film screenings, and cultural celebrations — many of them free and open to all.
Our La Doce Center for Cultural Organizing at Louis’ Market on South 12th Avenue is an active neighborhood hub with ongoing programming for southside Tucson residents and the broader community.

BorderLore is SFA’s free online journal, published six times a year, exploring the everyday cultural life of the U.S.-Mexico borderlands through stories about food, music, language, craft, ceremony, and community.

Do you carry a tradition, a practice, or a piece of cultural knowledge that deserves to be documented and shared? Do you know an artist, an elder, or a community whose story has never quite been told? We are always looking for new voices and new stories to showcase on our festival stages, in documentation programs, and within our online journal BorderLore. We believe cultural knowledge lives in ordinary people, and we celebrate that.
