Tucson Meet Yourself (TMY) is one of the longest consecutively running folklife festival in the nation and an immersive cultural experience — a free, three-day celebration held every October in downtown Tucson that has brought together the living traditional arts of Southern Arizona and the broader U.S.–Mexico border region since 1974. Now in its 53rd year, TMY presents more than 500 artists and culture bearers representing 65+ ethnicities, alongside 40+ food vendors, traditional craft demonstrations, music and dance performances, and special exhibits — drawing between 90,000 and 150,000 visitors over the course of the weekend. The festival is curated with deliberate care for the ratio of diversity among presenters and audiences alike, reflecting decades of trusted relationships with local tribes and nations, ethnic social clubs, cultural associations, and community organizations across the region.
Tucson Meet Yourself happens annually in Downtown Tucson during the second weekend in October.
